New H.S. Girls' Soccer Elite 8 (9/24)


1. USJ (11-3) – The Lady Bruins beat two Division II-A teams that they might see again in the region including 2011 runner-up St. George’s. JCS looms on Tuesday. Last week: No. 1

2. JCS (5-4-1) – The Lady Eagles split a pair of games, but the loss was to AAA Collierville. The match Tuesday against USJ will be big. Last week: No. 2

3. Westview (8-3) – The Lady Chargers won a trio of games by shutout and two were one-goal affairs. Last week: No. 5

4. TCA (5-2-2) – The Lady Lions dropped a tough one to Dyersburg in the team’s lone match of the week. Last week: No. 3

5. Sacred Heart (7-3-1) – The Lady Knights got back into the win column in District 15 A-AA North Division play with a big win. Last week: No. 6

6. Liberty (6-3-1) – The Lady Crusaders took a hard loss to Sacred Heart in the team’s lone match this week. Last week: No. 4

7. Madison (4-2-3) – The Lady Mustangs took the week off after the TCA game on Tuesday was postponed until Oct. 6. Last week: No. 7

New Girls' Soccer Elite 8 (9/17)


1. USJ (9-3) – The Lady Bruins picked up three wins in the Collierville Tournament over the weekend. Last week: No. 1

2. JCS (4-3-1) – The Lady Eagles played some tough teams in the Liberty/North Side Shootout and came away without a loss. Last week: No. 5

3. TCA (5-1-2) – The Lady Lions lost their first match of the season, but came back and beat a good Adamsville team. Last week: No. 3

4. Liberty (6-2-1) – The Lady Crusaders played two tough teams in their Shootout and came away with a tie and loss. Last week: No. 4

5. Westview (5-3) – The Lady Chargers went 1-2 in the Shootout and the losses came against good teams in JCS and Rossview. Last week: No. 2

6. Sacred Heart (6-3-1) – The Lady Knight finished second in the Shootout and looks to be in good form for the second half of the season. Last week: No. 7

7. Madison (4-2-3) – The Lady Mustangs went 1-1-1 in the Shootout and picked up a big win over Lexington. Last week: No. 6

3. TCA (4-0-2) – The Lady Lions stay undefeated on the season with a tie against Chester County and a big win over JCM. Last week: No. 5

4. Liberty (5-1) – The Lady Crusaders are starting to find their grove in the season in picking up two big district wins against teams in their division. Last week: No. 6

1. JCS (2-1) – The Lady Eagles dropped their first match of the season to Division II-A powerhouse ECS, but JCS also beat Harding Academy on the week. Last week: No. 2

2. USJ (3-3) – The Lady Bruins have dropped three contests on the season, but all were against tough competition. USJ also beat Chester County and Westview on the week. Last Week: No. 1

3. Madison (2-0-1) – The Lady Mustangs are still trying to find fluidity in the offense. They picked up a win and a tie on the season. Last week: No. 4

4. Westview (2-1) – The Lady Chargers fell to USJ last week, but should be back to winning ways through the next couple of weeks. Last week: No. 3

5. TCA (3-0-1) – The Lady Lions picked up a big district win over Sacred Heart on penalty kicks to sit atop the North Division of District 15 A-AA. Last week: Not ranked
